In late November, a group of hot pink–clad women, including our own Nina Utne, kicked off the Code Pink campaign with a daily peace vigil in Lafayette Park, across the street from the White House. Since then, an epidemic of pink has been sweeping the nation. At peace rallies across the country, citizens have donned pink scarves, hats, jackets and wigs, waved pink signs and distributed thousands of buttons declaring a state of Code Pink (a term used by hospitals when a baby has been abducted).
