19.2 Kbps

老家其實距離中華電信機房不到兩公里，而且還是在市郊交界處(古稱番漢交界)。撥接上網的速度，常時維持在 19.2 Kbps 的，算來大約是台北市 1996 年中的水準。整個以網路 based 的工作進度，完全沒法動作。
