Confluence Project

Confluence.org:

The goal of the project is to visit each of the latitude and longitude integer degree intersections in the world, and to take pictures at each location. The pictures and stories will then be posted here.

啊，看到整個 project 後第一個想到的就是：台灣這邊有沒有人作？很欣慰也很遺憾的是，Gregory Michaels 已經在 2001 年帶者他的兩個學生開著小 Peugeot 完成了。這幾個定位點中，似乎只有兩個在台灣本島，分別是 24°N 121°E(應該是埔里小埔社？) 和 23°N 121°E(台東長濱？)。距本島最近的則是在桃園縣觀音鄉外海的 25°N 121°E(1 mile off the coast)。看來，若要錦上添花，只有拿著 Garmin 跑去台東了。

Very interesting project. 我會再去把埔里的部分拜訪一次。

註：Gregory Michaels was a planetary geologist at NASAs Jet Propulsion Laboratory from 1990 to 1993, a NASA research assistant from 1993 to 1998 and a geophysicist in Azerbaijan from 1998 to 1999.

後記：這不就是終極 moblog 的目標嗎？拍照和定位一起來。使用 KDDI 的新 GPS navigation system 可以在日本本土作。Scale 可以切小一點。這應該會很好玩。
