The long road to the start of Dakar 2006:

I am using Google Earth to find and mark roads in the desert to make up our portion of the route. The satellite photo below is a very preliminary view of my 100 mile route. I have created an Excel spreadsheet that takes Google Earth exported files and automatically generates the roadbook with distances, notes, and GPS waypoints.
