剛去買了 Die Bahn(德國鐵路公司)從法蘭克福到慕尼黑的火車票，無意間發現 DB Auto Zug 的夾頁說明。我這個人素來對兩輪車的影像特別眼尖，所以就看到了摩托車托運服務的這一段：

* Motorcycles up to 2.65 m . . .
. . . go below and have a special price. They are firmly strapped down by our staff. There’s no need to dismantle fixed pannier bags
* Motorcycles and sidecar up to 2.65 m . . .
. . . are conveyed for the same price as a straightforward motorcycle and stored on the bottom deck

專人服務，即使加掛旅行用側箱的車子，只要長度不超過2.65米，不需拆卸即可都可上托運車廂，而且在德國特別流行的邊車(side-car)也沒有問題。停駐點主要以德國全境、北義和南法為主。我想辦法去問一問手續。下次要來試試看。

對了，台灣這邊也有車友曾經從台東運 CB750 上綠島。我會想辦法幫他把這個前無古人的創舉，投稿到雜誌去。

我明晚 23:35 的飛機出發，會先準備採訪幕尼黑車展後，再將台灣摩托旅遊的版圖拓展到歐洲。原預計之路線有些變化，所以會是：

幕尼黑(德國) -> Salzburg(奧地利) -> Innsbruck(奧地利) -> Trento(義大利) -> Verona(義大利) -> Venezia(義大利) -> Salzburg -> 布拉格(捷克) -> Nurnberg(德國) -> 幕尼黑

途經國際大都會、阿爾卑斯山區、地中海、東歐等，大約是一千八到兩千公里左右(這應該是最基本的里程數)。:)

很可惜沒有收到任何訊息，因此沒機會參加。以下是我的看法。 目前的大排氣量摩托車所面臨的窘境，是因為長久 isolate 大排氣量和小排氣量車種的思維下，所造成政策面、媒體面和國人認知面的實然乖違。但是車界在WTO強逼開放後所擬定的戰略，卻仍然現是陷在這種思維裡。以長遠來看，我認為這不是很好。

推展摩托車權益的 Tactics 部分，可以是先將摩托車 isolate 出來後(相對於佔絕對多數的速克達)，再到產官學界面下工夫。可是這個 tactics 後面的 strategy，一定是把整個兩輪圈子考量在內。

剛開始第一批上陣的 group，也不太適合單純(或是不單純)地由 interest group 來主導，否則搶短欲達陣成功，反而限制了以後更廣的路。這是歐洲相關團體一百多年來的發展經驗和教訓。

摩托車之旅 長征兩千里 帶著我的吉他 勇闖泰南回教戒嚴省

要不是搬家，還真的很難有機會走這一遭。

原來的計畫是一天之內由新加坡趕到馬來西亞與泰國的交界，休息一晚，次日一早越過邊界進入最近頗不安靖的泰南，實際觀察一下當地的情況，然後繼續前往曼谷，全程大約兩千五百公里。

Pretty nice. 這是我在台灣的新聞報導第一次看到有摩托車長途公路之旅的素材。:) 下個月就該我上場了。

Hmmm… Kymco(光陽)想要買下 Aprilia？義大利車廠 Aprilia 因財務缺口逐年加大，已經引起不少其他車廠的收購企圖。前一陣子夢幻車廠 Ducati 有意金援，但斷然被 Aprilia 高層拒絕。不過就在此時殺出其他不尋常的買主。在義大利經營有好一段時間的台灣 Kymco，據稱也想分一杯羹。SuperbikePlanet.com:

Besides Ducati and Piaggio, offers for the ailing Aprilia have come from BRP-Rotax and Kymco. Kymco is from Taiwan and annually produces 480,000 vehicles. There is a rumor Kymco’s bid is highest. BRP-Rotax is the Austrian engine manufacturing subsidiary of the recently re-branded Bombardier Recreational Products Company from Canada whose annual sales total $1.9 billion.

如果 Kymco 可以強渡關山壓垮地頭蛇 Piaggio 的染指，成功入主 Aprilia，那這鐵定是個全新的經營挑戰。

跟人家在論壇中聊到歐洲阿爾卑斯山脈區域和摩托車產業的一些問題，快紀下來。

Yes, 南德、東南法、奧地利、瑞士、北義、列之敦斯敦地區等，不知道有多少業者的收入就是靠這一區的數百條路線。根據我的了解，相關的產業有：

* 出版社：地圖集、旅遊指引、餐館指引、旅遊文學
* 旅遊業者：固定出摩托車旅遊團
* 摩托車租賃業者：包吃這一區域的路線
* 餐飲業者：數百條路線中的驛站
* 民宿業者：Bikers’ Friendly 的 accommendation
* 摩托車車廠：公路賽，比如說 Ducati 最近舉辦的 Centopassi(百隘盃)

Alps 的難度對於一般公路車種來說有很多很廣的選擇。由於相關產業成熟，
地區又跨越數個國家，所以可說是全世界最為可及的高經濟價值摩托旅遊區域。:)

在英國和 BMF 互相分庭抗禮的摩托車權益促進組織之一。日前 MAG 總裁(Ian Mutch)偕公關經理(Trevor Baird)和英國交通部部長拍了一張美照後，暗地裡掏出一份八十頁的報告，請 Roads Safety Minister(David Jamieson)好好做一下功課，打破 Minister 先生肖想吃豆腐(騎帥氣 Triumph) 的邪惡企圖。這份報告的目的是…

Hmm… 國內的一些摩托車相關團體應該好好考察考察，免得像無頭蒼蠅似的亂槍打鳥。

在2003年一整年中，因為騎乘摩托車所造成的傷亡比例，比去年增加了14%(英國)。對於像 MAG 這樣的團體而言，這顯然是一個被公眾質疑其訴求正當性的大危機。危機當然要搞成轉機但又不能弄得太難看，所以下面就是 MAG 上呈的研究報告的摘要… Safety

* Drivers made aware of issues such as how their actions can affect motorcyclists.
* Raising the awareness of all road users about motorcyclists.
* Funding a fully national Bikesafe programme that is operated to an agreed national standard.
* That the role of Rider Improvement and Speed Awareness schemes be extended for offending motorcyclists.
* Research into car driver skills, knowledge and attitudes in relation to motorcycle safety, including the incidence of drivers ‘looking but failing to see’ in accidents involving motorcycles.
* That the press should be discouraged from glamorising inappropriate speed and behaviour.
* That policing should be targeted on better driving/riding standards through enforcement and education.

Secondary Safety

* Find a compromise solution through the UN-ECE in Geneva that would require machines to be fitted with an AHO override switch.
* Daytime running lamps, review the European Commission research to ensure any reported benefits are fully relevant to GB road and traffic mix conditions.

Training

* Consider whether or not the training and testing structure for Direct Access adequately
equips riders for the conditions that they face on the road.
* For candidates to complete a minimum number of hours on-road assessed riding (utilising a log-book scheme) prior to being awarded a test pass;
* Encourage riders to take post-test training. For example, exemption from or a reduction in VED for riders who have undertaken further training.
* Riders should learn skills such as braking, skid and speed control at the national limits.

Security

* That research should continue into Electronic Vehicle Identification but that civil liberty issues need to be properly considered and consulted upon.

Transport Mix

* Remedy the bias of some institutions – including local authorities, employers, regional
government, educational bodies, environmental and safety pressure groups – which the Group believes is contrary to improving PTW safety.
* That the second full Local Transport Plans should include appropriate provision for PTWs.
* That potential or perceived conflicts between PTWs and other road users should be properly explored
* Continue research into the use of ASLs, encouraging further sites in different situations for trials, and consider the policy of allowing PTWs to use ASLs in the light of that research.

收到一則有去的訊息。2005年的巴黎達卡拉力賽，目前已經在報名的階段當中。於是有業餘車隊放出消息，車上多了一個位子，只要有人願意提供足夠的金援，就有機會和另外的三位車手一起加入這場偉大的夢幻賽事。真實性當然有待查證，不過除了提供賽事參加機會的「仲介商(如 logistics)」之外，我倒是沒想到還有這種管道可以參賽(yes, anything can happen in the dakar rally)。他的訊息是這樣子寫的：

這份報告實在是太太太重要了。類似的大規模摩托車事故統計，美國也只有一份 HURT Report能在拿到台面上被檢視。我在翻譯NAMS的時候也提到了建立事故統計標準程序的重要性。台灣每年騎士傷亡數如此之高，但在 statistical data 和 methodology 上的投資卻不成比例。這份MAIDS報告耗時五年完成，參考價值超過五顆星。

偷看概念車的好機會。

週末一早，Schee 臉上惺忪的四隻眼直往石碇奔去，參加由新店分局舉辦的「大型重型機車交通執法暨預防犯罪宣導活動(真是落落長的傻眼)」。入北二高石碇休息站，巧見「腳兄」跨騎 Honda CB750 凌風而來。奪奪兩聲，駐車熄火。兩相大笑，有若就識般擊掌為賀。時間不早，新店警方寶馬850德駒(unconfirmed)一字排開，列對笑迎眾家車友(嘿嘿)。

菜籃車，女性上班族，應該是電子作業員。新店寶橋路近木新路橋墩口，前輪壓到人孔蓋後 high-side，今晨八點半。我隨行騎後，counter-steer 閃過。路口剛好有員警(或義警)。後照鏡看去，粉紅衣領，動也不動。

神奇的是，台灣考照，從不教最重要的一個關鍵技術：「煞車」。體制放任初拿駕照的孩子，直接進陷道路叢林，體驗「優勝劣敗」的殘酷法則。誰敢搶位，誰就得分。不幸被大地血吻之芸芸生靈，請自求多福。

感謝在北美的 Everlax 提供，Serendipity 系統。這裡的「Bike」指的是「Motorcycle」。

09/13 ~ 09/14，本年度慕尼黑車展開始舉行的前兩天的第五屆摩托車國際年會，如期展開。我拿(要)到邀請函，去參加的執念應該是沒什麼妥讓餘地。但若有交通相關單位願意補貼我這一趟的自費行程，那會更好。:)

The 5th International Motorcycle Conference of the ifz will provide a general account of the present state of scientific, legislatorial and industrial developments of motorcycle use and motorcycle safety. International motorcycle specialists of various disciplines and branches will discuss aspects of development and research as well as the integration of administrative basic conditions.

主辦單位有四，分別是美國 MSF、德國 IFZ、IVM 和展覽官方。報告人在亞洲部分有日籍(本田朝霞研究所)和泰籍(Silpakorn University)研究人員。

當然，blog 怎麼可以缺席呢？;)
