專為行動裝置製作的網頁，長期以來沒有自己的專用網域可用。幾家公司結合推了一個 initiative，目的在於促使 ICANN 推出合用的行動網域名稱。以下為重要的 FAQ：

* What is the mobile Top Level Domain?

* What will the mobile Top Level Domain be called?

* Why are these companies joining together in this initiative?

除了擁有 touch screen / 手寫輸入/ 或是類似 Nokia 6820 的開合摺疊鍵盤外，在其他多數的手機若要輸入網址，根本是令人齜牙列嘴的痛苦經驗。若改天真的有 mobile publishing 專用的 TLD，那會不會是「.mob」呢？;)

I just had a fascinating meeting with Christian Lindholm, the Nokia usability guru who is now director of multimedia applications for the company. He was giving me a sneak preview of the Lifeblog Multimedia Diary, a blogging application developed by Nokia that’s going to be unveiled next week at the Cebit show in Germany,” Neil McIntosh says.

台灣 Nokia 不知道會開始什麼樣後續動作，或是說，最近推出的 7600 主打之 market strategy 是什麼？我看 Nokia 在 CeBit 上預計要推出的這個 application，大概是為 series 90 的 7700 抬轎吧？雖然 Lifeblog 據說還不能直接 publish 到 web 端，不過 moblog 的部分應該是指日可待。

UDN：Google結盟蕃薯藤 搶攻付費搜尋市場

不讓Yahoo！奇摩專美於前，Google也積極進入華文搜尋引擎廣告市場。2月Google正式推出中文版CPC（Cost PerClick，點選計費的付費連結方案）計價方式的付費連結廣告，3月與台灣唯一合作夥伴蕃薯藤合力進入中文付費連結廣告市場，為Google從技術廠商轉型為網路商鋪路。

不知道誰的 blog 上已經開始玩中文 CPC 了？我對這部分倒是蠻有興趣的。:)

英國警方「BikeSafe」專案經驗的移植

本月二十八日，假北縣平溪國民中學場地，由臺北縣政府警察局瑞芳分局主辦，舉行國內少見之「大型重型機車交通安全宣導座談會」。日前由 molo 大哥促成，在與瑞芳分局和資深車友交換意見的過程中，我舉了英國倫敦警方「BikeSafe」專案的經驗，提供給本次活動主辦單位參考。 根據我的初步了解，目前國內似乎只有新竹安駕中心有類似的課程。然則警方與民間共同籌辦類似活動的例子，卻仍屬少見。希望本次活動有「引智亮慧」的效果，並且可為其他縣市警方作為「管理」摩托車之實證參考依據。至少，在防堵與零合的管制思維箝制了數十年之後，仍可以有開始醞釀新做法之嚐試的勇氣。

所以若無意外的話，二十七號我會在埔里，二十八號則是參加這場座談會。

離開山野，進駐市區。因新工作的需求，自明日起，準備搬往距離中華電信機房不超過五十公尺的巷子。離開再也熟悉不過的靜謐林綠，踏行嚷嚷塵跡之喧囂而去。衷盼新始有成，平安惟是。

我的摩托車結界原本只從天母搭到劍潭，素有車子騎不出劍潭之稱的我，應該慶幸現在的公司座標往北。因為我的勇氣撐不過承德橋，技術也跨不過基隆河，所以這由我自己搭撐的結界，只可北張，不可南行。

book_covering_image上河文化編纂出版，好書兩本，看得出來非常用心，應該是目前市面上最棒的公路地圖集。有國外的水準，GPS Ready，還在後頁的部分介紹了孟叡兄之前提到過的積丹尼(jidanni.org)：

1) 1/5萬台灣地理人文全覽圖(北島)
2) 1/5萬台灣地理人文全覽圖(南島)

這兩本書來得正是時候。

On February 28th took place the biggest demonstration in Taiwan history consisted of an estimated 1.2 million of people marching the west coastline of the island. Joining their hands together they formed a human chain of 500 kilometers.

Reports reveal that China’s state-controlled media made no mention of the demonstration. There was no word of it either on popular news Web sites and online discussion groups, which are closely monitored by government censors.

The event was obviously moblogged and documented.

On August 23, 1989, fifty years after the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, more than two million people from the three Baltic States–Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania- joined hands to create a 600-kilometer human chain and demonstrated their determination to regain their independence. Their effort received enormous international attention and support. With our third democratic presidential election and first ever “peace referendum” approaching, China once again instills fear in the Taiwanese public with the military threat. On the 57th anniversary of the 228 Incident, we want to remember the past as well as demonstrate our optimistic outlook for the future. We will bring more than a million people together to form a 500-kilometer human chain along the west coast of Taiwan. This chain will symbolize a wall created by the bare hands of the people – regardless of ethnic background, gender, age, or political differences – to protect the freedom and peace of Taiwan.
